This sentence for me had nothing to do with tech/business tools although you shared some great stuff. Coincidentally I had just given myself a kick in the butt before I read this to go out and find the info “tools” I need to get started on a new (ad)venture

Thanks, Sarah! I needed this list. I will Bookmark this page and refer to it as I put my various systems in place. What's top on my to do list is implementing a database so I'm interested in what Aweber allows for. Also, I'm switching my blog over to WP so really appreciate what you have to share about Headway.

Oh and also really appreciate the John Haydon recommendation.

I think @johnhaydon is fantastic too. And, I think he was how I first found you. Or maybe it was @elizabethpw. I can't remember if it was one or the other — or both.

I'm planning on using Headway once I build my custom blog. For the next month or so, I'm really trying to stay focused on content (I can get distracted by trying to make something nice and shiny vs. actually sitting down and getting some writing done).

Sarah, you are so freaking generous with your tips. Truly. As I'm preparing to step up my game, it's great to know which tools are “tried and true.” I only recently started using PayPal at the request of a coaching client, and that alone has been “game changing”. It allows clients to pay via credit card or any means they choose, where before they could only pay by check.

Per your question: What will I add next? It's most likely going to be No Cost Conference. Or another service I've heard good things about: Instant Conference, which does free calls for up to 150 attendees and includes free recordings. http://www.instantconference.com/how-free-confe...

Great “down and dirty practical” post Sarah. I use most of these tools and highly recommend each of them – especially Headway Theme!
