When It All Happens At Once

If one more thing happens this week, I may go screaming into the streets.

It’s been a JAM-PACKED week for me. Getting Creating Irresistible Presence off the ground, organizing the 30 Days to Irresistible Presence blog series, and some very big stuff happening on the personal front that I can’t share just yet.

It is all amazing stuff.

And it is all happening at the same time.

And I am afraid I am going to drop something very important. Or that I will fall down.

And don’t tell me I won’t, or it will be ok, or nothing will break. And to take a deep breath.

Cuz I know all that and I am still scared.  And overwhelmed. And uncertain.

But here is the one thing I am NOT: alone.

I have my tribe. I have my inner circle. I have my family. And they will see me through. They will hold certainty for me when I cannot.

And what I know beyond a shadow of a doubt is, this too shall pass.

So I am keeping my eye on the prize that is right in front of me. Doing the do’s I know to do.

And that will make all the difference.

Way to go Sarah! I’m screaming and crying and laughing with you… especially since I have a sense of just HOW busy this week was and how chaotic and wonderful and out of control and exhausting and… and… and…

THIS is a post that I think I will read again and again … for many reasons. It speaks to that part of me that can keep putting one foot in front of the other when I’m tempted to pull the covers over my head and say “I can’t”. It’s raw and real – a reminder to me of the power in that. (LOVE that you told us not to tell you it will be okay or to breathe or to do anything to fix it… that you’re letting yourself and us be with you in it. And it reminds me of the power that comes from not “being alone” or not trying to do it “alone” – a mistake I have made for far too long that I am, slowly – step by step (some of them terrifying) trying to correct. You’ve got guts, my friend.. or, as your friend Sandy Grason says, B.A.L.L.S. I salute you! And I’m sending you a hug, too – aka your Teddy Bear friend! :-)

Well, if you decide to do that screaming into the street stuff, shoot a video because that could be interesting :) Seriously, it’s been one of those weeks for a few people I know, and we all just need to breathe and get back to center. As you said, this too shall pass!

I think this is what happens when you’re shaking things up… and you are definitely shaking things up right now!

When I have times like that, I just remind myself that God doesn’t give us more than we can handle. Although, sometimes I look up and ask “Um, remember me down here?”

    xoxo

Speaking from personal experience – running screaming down the street is highly under-rated and deserves way more credit for stress relief than it seems to get.

Here’s a potentially little known fact about Stressed Street Scream-running (see that clever alliteration technique?): It wakes others up. Those going through their day on automatic pilot can’t help but be shaken by the sight and sound of a usually ‘all together’ neighbour, shrieking at high speed. It’s not only out of character – but a little scary too.

When this happened to me, I invited onlookers to join me. I added a bit of music and rhythm to my scream ~ and by the time we’d made it to the city’s boundary, we were all dancing and hopping to ‘We Go Together’ from Grease. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dVib2ie9-68

It doesn’t always go this way though. Sometimes, you end up in jail. I’ll end it there.

Hope you’re feeling more balanced today!

And I don’t tell you often enough how much what you do matters to me. You uplift me, educate me, and help me learn more about how I can be more me.
I thank you. I honor you. I am grateful to you. And I know you are doing great things.
